Life
We celebrate the high value that God has placed on each person. We also believe that there is another life—a life of forgiveness, divine love and salvation in Jesus Christ. We believe this new life will last into eternity.
God
God has revealed Himself in His written word, the Bible. He is God the Father, His Son — Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. God is active and living in the world today. We are enjoying God's presence and growing in what it means to be His children.
People
God so loved people that He sent His Son, Jesus. That love and compassion expressed in the teachings and life of Jesus underscores the value and worth of all people. Woven into our life together at Divine Shepherd is the love and compassion for all people that has come from the heart of God.
Worship
As we trust in God, He invites us to express our love to Him. At Divine Shepherd, we convey that love to God individually and together through expressive worship. In worship we experience the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Knowing God
God's desire for you to have a personal relationship with Him was so great that He gave His Son, Jesus, to you (John 3:16). The darkness of our own sin separates us from the Holy God that created us (Romans 3:23, 6:23). Jesus took the punishment of our sin upon Himself when He died on the cross (Colossians 2:13-14). It is God's plan that we recognize our sinful ways and say that we are sorry for that sin (Acts 3:19). As you turn away from your sin and trust in Jesus for complete forgiveness, God wipes away your sin and promises you a personal relationship with Him now and life with Him forever in heaven (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 5:11-12).
